Arrival of Baby Yadrick

I went in for my weekly appt this morning to find out that I'm still not dilated or effaced. They baby hasn't even "dropped" as of today. So with that said, the Dr. told me if I go to 41 weeks, which will be next Sunday, he will schedule a c-section instead of inducing because of my previous c-section and the risks that follow a VBAC delivery. I asked his professional opinion regarding my odds on a successful VBAC and he said probably 40-50% seeing that I'm not dilated or effaced, whether or not any of that matters the fact that I only have a 40-50% chance is a little scary considering the complications of a VBAC...

With all this new information Dave and I have scheduled a c-section for Wednesday, October 3rd at 11:30am.
If I happen to go into labor on my own by then, we will definitely try for a VBAC, but if not, I'm excited to know we will have our newest little angel with us by Wednesday!

Please keep the baby and I in your prayers that everything turns out well and I will send pictures out as soon as I find the time when I get home to a FULL house!

still waiting...

so I was hoping to have some good news especially after the full moon last night, but I have to say that I'm still waiting to have this child of mine! I'm stopped asking myself every time I feel something strange "is this it?" and I just try to trick my mind in believing that I still have a while to go and not to get frustrated. Yay right, like that's worked, but I'm still trying.
Today is the first time that I have spent time with one of my girls by them self. Alyssa stayed home today with a fever and I was afraid that Hannah would have a difficult time going to school by herself especially knowing that her sister gets to stay home with Mommy, but she was happy to go to school! phew! Hopefully, Alyssa's fever doesn't turn into something serious since the baby will come regardless in about a week (WOW, that's really weird to say). It is a very different feeling to only have one girl with me, but it is a nice change with some guilty feelings. Guilty?, I guess because I feel like I'm favoring one over the other, but I keep telling myslef I'm not and the thermometer tells me I'm not too...I guess I'll just have to keep Hannah home one of these days too! ;)
Hopefully Dr. Feldman will have some good news for me tomorrow when I see him. Let's all keep our fingers AND toes crossed!

waiting....

I had my weekly Dr. appt this morning and was really hoping for some good news, like "your dilated AND your cervix is softening....) Unfortunately, the exact opposite happened. Dr. Feldman said..."Wow, your cervix is completely SHUT and your NOT dilated at all." By the way he said it, I think he was a little surprised as was I!! However, she has "dropped" so I guess I have to look at the bright side! right?!
Otherwise, I've gained a half a pond which makes my total weight gain to exactly 25lbs, which I'm very pleased with. My BP was normal and her heart rate was normal. THANK GOODNESS!
Being that my due date is Sept 30th, which makes me due in 9 days I asked the Dr. when he will induce and his response was "41 weeks!" Ouch, I can't imagine carrying this little bugar another two weeks. So now we are teetering the idea of C-section at 40 weeks if she hasn't made an appearance by then.
****For all of you who take time out of your day to read about my exciting life, please pray that I will have this baby SOONER than later!****

nursery...done!

It is so nice to have her nursery completely DONE! I have washedand re-washed and set everthing in it's place..... all we need now is a little BABY to fill it in!

38 weeks and 4 days

Today I am 38 weeks and 4 days and feel like I'm ready to POP!! I guess this is the time that is the most frustrating being that I have never done this part before. I delivered the girls at 37 weeks and 5 days, so there was never a "waiting" period.
Lately, my days are consumed of wondering when this baby will want to make her appearance. I have a doctor appt tomorrow, so I will have a little better clue of what is going on with my body. I hope the Dr. will tell me I am dilated and effaced, but knowing my luck I won't be...
As much as I want to deliver I know the moment I do I'm going to want her back inside me. I will miss being pregnant and keeping her all to myself, but I know it's almost time to share her with the world!

Bump Watch.... 35 weeks

35 weeks and counting...

Well, here I am at 35 weeks and 4 days.
For those of you who haven't heard, we had a little scare two weeks ago on Monday. I had contractions 20 minutes apart for about 2 hours and ended up calling the on-call Dr. since it was at 11pm and night. He instructed to go to Labor and delivery if my contractions became 10-15 minuted apart...which they never did... ;)
My 34 weeks check-up appt was the following day, so I informed Dr. Feldman about m previous night and he took my blood pressure..... yup, you guessed it right.... my BP was HIGH! He said it sounded like I was GOING INTO LABOR!! I about had a heart attack at that point. So, he checked my cervix and I wasn't dilated so he wanted to see me 1 week later...
I saw him on Tuesday and my BP is back to normal and I am very happy to announce I haven't had any contractions since then. Dr. Feldman also guesstimated that our little angel will weigh around 8.5lbs at birth (considering she stays where she is until 40 weeks)
I had an ultrasound on Friday and the Tech said she currently weighs about 6lbs 3oz and all her measurements are average or above average.
So now my friends, it's just a waiting game...
