...potty training...

So I can officially say that our little Hannah is almost completely potty trained!! It all started this past Monday when Hannah wanted to wear her new Cinderella underwear I bought her, but I told her she couldn't wear them if she was going to go potty in them...so she said she wouldn't. I thought that was a joke until I let her wear them and she really didn't go potty in them. I kept asking her if she had to go potty and every time she had to, I would sit her down and she would do her business...

As of today, she's been wearing pull-ups and has had a couple accidents, but overall her pull-up stays dry and she LOVES the potty...

Alyssa, on the other hand, is completely 100% NOT interested in the potty. So I haven't pushed it and figure that when she is ready, she'll let me know!
~Our little girls are growing up so fast~

she's a kicker!

Yesterday was the first time I felt her kick my stomach! I've been able to feel her kicks inside for about 4 weeks now, but not to the touch. Dave hasn't been able to feel the kicks yet because they are still faint and too sporadic, but this is the stage of pregnancy that every woman waits for. It's what they call the "honeymoon" stage. I'm feeling great lately...no sickness...no fatigue...and I'm showing enough for anyone to know I'm pregnant, although I think I'm eating a little more than I have been. We'll see how long this lasts!

I have a doctors appt next week, so we will know how much weight I've gained to date and we'll be able to hear her heartbeat again. It is such a relief to hear that little heart thump and such a miraculous sound to realize there is a human growing inside...

18 weeks and counting....

I'm officially half way through this pregnancy! Honestly, it seems like it's taken FOREVER to get to this moment considering I found out I was pregnant at 4 weeks!!!
I just hope it is smooth sailing from this point on...

3D ultrasound

So I've always been a little scared of 3D ultrasounds and always told myself they were unsafe and to be honest, I've always thought the baby looked alien-like.....but I've turned the corner! I got a 3D ultrasound yesterday and am very happy I did. I could see her sucking her hand and opening her mouth!! The tech informed me that you can see the features of the baby and get the best results between 26-32 weeks. So if my Dr. approves, I'll get one then too!

To much of my surprise I've found out that another girlfriend is pregnant. I think there is something in the water or some kind of epidemic is in the air because this make 8 of us!! This time around for me is so much more exciting just because I have so many friends that are going through the same experience I'm going through and are starting their own families...Such a relief for Dave and I to have friends understand what we've gone through the past 3 years and can now empathize with us.

Anyway, Congratulations to all my friends that are expecting their own little bundle of joy or are now enjoying the ups and downs of parenthood and to all of you who are working on making a little angel...please know you are in our prayers and we wish you lots of luck!!
Welcome to the Club and now you all can understand my motto a little better now...... "Just wait until you have kids".... ;)
