what going on in the world of the yadrick's

over the holiday weekend we had some friends over and look happens in a year... looks like we were all "busy" around the same time! (it must have been a cold winter...hehe)

char having fun in her little play thingy...
more fun...

don't they make a cute couple??? ummm, do they look guilty???! Ava chi and her little toy! She is such a BIG girl!

she HATES rice cereal, but LOVES oatmeal! mmmm.

gimme more!

I'm proud to say ALL 3 girls are 100% better. In the last couple weeks I've become an anal disinfectant! I use my little wipes every couple hours and wipe EVERYTHING down! At this point, I'm not taking any chances... everyone is happy in my house and I want to keep it that way! Charlotte has entered the world of SOLID foods and is LOVING it. She consumes 2-3 jars of food per feeding! yes, that is right she is becoming a chubs! however, i introduced peas today and she gaged every time i tried to trick her. I'm not giving up though.... i will persevere!!!

update on sickies...

.update status.
Well, we took hannah and alyssa into the doctors today for thier check-up from last week and the pnuemonia is gone, BUT they still are wheezing...To me, this is GOOD news. This means, no more anitbiotics but we still have to do breathing treatments. Dr. C said they will probably have to do the albuterol breathing treatments for another week and then as needed, but they will have to do the pulmicort (inhalant steroid) breathing treatments until April! But at this point, I'll do whatever I have to do make my little girls better and really, what's another breathing treatment?
Dr. C looked at Char too and I'm happy to say she hasn't had a fever all day. I'm looking at it at this point, it's another day down until she's better. We are still doing breating treatments, antibiotics, and steroid syrup. If her symptoms aren't any better by thurs I have to take her in to the dr office. If they are subsiding, I still have to take her in next tues. So that makes it ANOTHER dr. appt...
at this point, am I allowed to laugh at it??
**to all the new mommies out there reading about my crazy life (mi vida loca), I have one suggestion......NEVER put your child into preschool when you are about to have another child!

another trip to the doctor...

okay, i'm sure some of my friends who read this might be wondering why I haven't been calling, returning calls or even emailing.... this is why...

last week i took charlotte in for her 4 month check up and brought the girls with me because they STILL have a cough (mind you, they have had a cough since August...yes, August). Our ped. has offered many diagnosis (whats plural for that?) like allergies (so we got new carpet all through the house), asthma, bronchitis, the weather.....on and on.... needless to say, they STILL have the damn cough, but this time they had a fever too. So, back to the ped appointment last week. Dr. C listened to their lungs once again and gave the girls a breathing treatment once again and diagnosed them with PNUEMONIA.... So we filled our medicine cabinet with more breathing treatment meds, a inhalant steroid and an antibiotic.... seems to be helping, but the cough is still here...stay tuned

back to Charlotte...

She received 4 vaccinations on tues and cold symptoms aren't uncommon, but they aren't suppose to hang around longer than 24 hours. Char has had a fever since Tues (100-102), a runny nose and a gnarly chough. being the "experienced" mom I think I am, I've given her Tylenol and just hoped it was another cold and would linger for a few days.... well, Saturday night a new symptom made its appearance, wheezing.... so, being the responsible and experienced mom I think I am, I called the on-call Dr. and she instructed me to take Char into the ER because she thought she might have pnuemonia.... at this point, I felt so helpless and so frustrated that my 3 little angels have been so sick this winter. So, Dave and I take her into the ER and the attending ER Dr, who reminded me of Turtle (from The Northshore) proceeded to tell me he and his wife were never going to have sex again because they didn't want anymore kids and dropped the "SH$@" bomb to Dave (you just don't do that to Dave, in uniform, when you don't know him) ... diagnosed Char with a cold and sent us home....

So here we are to today, Char still had a fever of 102 and has been coughing up her lungs and just wasn't her happy self, I called the ped office.... Thank heaven we are "in" with the Peds. (The girls ped. was Dave's ped through his childhood). They told me to come in right away and I didn't even have to wait in the FULL waiting room. The latest diagnosis for Char is Bronchilitis...worse than bronchitis - 'better' than pnuemonia. She will be on anitbiotics, steriod syrup AND breathing treatments.... Ugh.

So, my days now consists of breathing treatments for ALL 3 girls every 3-4 hours, antibiotics, steriods, blow out diapers, bottles, spit up, crying and dancing princesses.....PLUS a husband! and we all know a husband requires more attention than all above...

I just hope that after my girls are better I NEVER have to see a breathing treatment again...

so, I apologize for not calling, returning calls or emailing...

a whole new world...

my little princesses singing along to Aladdin..... how can you NOT love these two!
ever heard of attention seekers...

Super Bowl in Big Bear

my 4 month old princess

my little baby girl is already 4 months old..... as the time flies by, I'm still amazed at how fast children grow up. Char had her 4 month check up on Tuesday and everything is on track. I personally would like to see her gain more weight, but Dr. Cornelsen isn't concerned one iota. She is weighing in at 11.14 lbs and is 24.5 inches. I looked back at Alyssa's 4 month check up and he weighed 12.14lbs and was 24 in!! I can't believe Char weighs less than Alyssa... at birth Alyssa was 5.14lbs and Char was 8.13lbs~

To give you a little glimpse on our weight issues I've had with Char, here's the deal~
at birth - 8 lbs 14 oz
4 days old - 7 lbs 14 oz
(yeah, they even said I was starving her.... wasn't producing enough milk)
2 weeks old - 8 lbs 9 oz
3 weeks - 9 lbs 1 oz
5 weeks - 9 lbs 08
2 mo - 10 lbs 4 oz
4 months - 11 lbs 14 oz

i think it was 3 weeks ago I took Char to the Dr. because she was vomiting up her entire bottle everytime she ate....scary! So we changed her formula to Nutramigen (liquid gold as they put it) and Char's much better. So needless to say she lost around another pound during that week of vomiting. Its seen as though we've had nothing but issues regarding my little girls weight, but again the Dr. says he's not worried at all. We've also has som eissues with the staff at the Dr. weighing incorrectly too, so that definitely doesn't help. Now that she has started solids, I'm hoping she'll gain some nice weight!

here's a cute video of Chars very first experience with rice cereal.

I think she may have actually eaten 25% of the cereal...

this is after 3 days if eating cereal... a little better
