what a week! Char smiles so much now and I just try to capture every moment, but it's impossible! Here's just a little glimpse into my world EVERY time I set her down...

BIG Pre-schoolers
school year 2007-2008

NOW
Look Who's Learning Pre-school class of 2007-2008 (this is a total of 6 classes)
THEN
Kiddie Kraft Pre-school class of 1983-1984
...can you see me??
How can 3 years just pass by so incredibly fast? As I look at my own pre-school picture I can vividly remember certain things that occurred that year... the Goldie Locks and the Three Bears play (I was Goldie Locks, huh...), my birthday crown I made and wore the whole day and the yummy cupcakes my Mom brought for the class, and my best friend, his name was Brian (he's the one above me in the picture) . When I sit here thinking about that time in my life I start to remember so much more from that moment on...So, now I wonder...will Hannah and Alyssa start to remember the events in their lives from this moment on?

happy 6 week birthday *Char*
Charlotte, aka "Char" "Charlie" "Lola" as of last Friday is weighing 9lbs 8oz and has grown from 19 inches to 21 1/4 inches.
As I sit here typing this entry so many thoughts and emotions are running through my head. The past 6 weeks have flown by so fast I don't really know where to begin. As a Mother, I want to share ALL my feelings and experience with everyone, but there is just way too much. As my fellow Mothers know and to all my friends who will soon be mothers will find out.
The last week of my pregnancy I was actually really nervous wondering how I could love someone as much as I LOVE my little girls. It is just impossible to try to explain the love you have for your children the moment you meet them. To love someone you've never met so much and to is still such a strange phenomenon to me and I've done it 3 times!!!
Anyway, what a PRECIOUS and PERFECT bundle of joy came into my life on October 3rd! This time around I was actually able to watch in a mirror the birth of Char. Uhhh, what an experience!! The moment I saw her dark hair just make me cry. To know that my little girl has dark hair like her MaMa, just made my day! She also made it clear to everyone in the room that she had entered the world with the loudest scream....and didn't stop for a couple hours! But all said and done, I had another great recovery and was happy to come home to my family. It was like Char had been apart of our lives forever and we just came home from being out...so normal to have a baby in our house.
oh wait...one thing I want to mention to anyone who has a c-section... REFERRED PAIN in right (not left) shoulder...... Uhhh, yeah..... let me tell you...... I just have to say that it is the absolutely WORST pain I have EVER been in. I can't even begin to explain how much pain I was in. Apparently when you have your whole abdominal cavity open air can get trapped in your body and if it isn't passed, then it travels to your RIGHT shoulder. Why didn't I EVER read about this in the millions of articles I read about pregnancy over the last 10 months??? And, why didn't anyone EVER tell me about this before??? To make a long story short, I was in so much pain I couldn't even hold Char and had to have 3 enemas (sorry to be graphic) in order for it to go away!...so wrong...
...And the girls...what wonderful sisters they are! As soon as Char makes any sort of "peep" the girls are at her attention trying anything and everything to calm her down. I was a little worried about the girls holding her and loving her, but they have done such a perfect job and I am truly so proud of them!
Okay, so now it has been 6 weeks and Char is smiling and just started cooing last night when I talk to her. It's like she is trying so hard to communicate with me. It is such a different experience to have one child rather than two. I am able to give 100% of my attention to Charlotte and am taking all I can get. I know the girls will never know the difference, but in a way I feel guilty that I never had the one on one with them that I get with Char. But, that is something I have to get over and realize the time I had with the girls when they were infants was just as special...
